Burt’s Bees Tiger Lily Tinted Lip Balm

10 Aug

You have to forgive my infrequent posts of late, as I have been away scouting and testing more exciting stuff on Groomy Island. While on hiatus, I’ve somehow discovered this good lip balm/colour hybrid product that’s the Burt’s Bees Tiger Lily Tinted Lip Balm.

A lip colour and balm hybrid that contains Shea Butter as its main ingredient to keep lips soft and supple while preventing lines and dryness from rearing its ugly head. This lip balm also imparts a soft sheer hint of colour and comes in six flirty shades of Honeysuckle, Pink Blossom, Rose, Tiger Lily, Hibiscus and Red Dahlia.

A very nice lip balm in my opinion as my lips survived a harsh day of gossip at the office with nary a crack in sight. Taste wise; haters of pepperminty/cherry/petroleum tasting lip balms could give this melon honey taste a try. Not that I am suggesting licking a lip balm for dessert but perhaps some bee working at Burt’s had formulated this with dessert in mind. Has a good thick texture that enables the balm to glide over lips without tugging and gives off this natural dewy gloss hint of colour. I particularly like the Tiger Lily Shade as it is not too jarring nor does it give me lips that would leave Ronald Macdonald nodding in approval.

Verdict: For Groomies who hate having hair stuck on their lips (thanks to lip glosses) and crave a slight hint of colour. This lip balm definitely goes BEEyond plain moisturizing.
