Clarins Water Purify One-Step Cleanser

One of my recent ventures is the world of cleansing waters. For those who are clueless (like myself once upon a time), cleansing water is a powerful cleansing agent that is suspended in an aqueous solution that takes off dirt and light makeup without the need of a separate cleanser. (The sloth in me rejoices). I had purchased this Clarins Water Purify One-Step Cleanser sample to test-drive it during my reservist stint.

A potent yet gentle cleanser that purifies and tones the skin with Mint extracts, it also neutralizes the effects of pollution to give skin a breather with Moringa seed extracts.Coconut derived cleansing agents lift away light makeup and grime, revealing a pure radiance.

I used this during my in camp and found it great for freshening up in between training sessions where a shower is practically impossible (yes, we nsmen can be a pretty whiny and smelly bunch). Smells pretty minty, I soak a cotton pad with this green fluid and wipe off all the junk and SPF (I am that conscientious even when I am in green). A trick to feel fresher immediately is to wipe all the way even to the back of the ears. Very cooling in sensation, my face feels soft and clean without any irritation and that dreaded filmy feeling. I test drove this yesterday in my own bathroom and am pleased to report that its strong enough to remove BB Cream but eyeliner ( yes i applied some on myself for this, ah the lengths I go for product testing) required a double swipe of this. However, from my own personal standpoint, nothing beats a good facial cleanser and water but this seriously is a great substitute for those impromptu-cleansing moments where water and time is a challenge.

Verdict: Recommended for clubbers who aim to pass out drunk sans makeup and grime or the time constrained. A refreshment in a bottle, grab this for instant freshness.

Clarins Men Serum Contour Yeux Undereye Serum

I love eye creams. The soothing texture, the decadence of smoothing it on with fingers crossed in hopes that it works. I would like to believe that my obsessive use of eye creams have somehow kept the lines and crows feet at bay in consideration of the vices I used to indulge in when I was younger. (I ain’t not angel, I do club and drink occasionally.)

Oh yes, back to Clarins Men Serum Contour Yeux Undereye Serum. It is a blue coloured gel serum that helps to de-puff the eye zone (and erase any visible evidence of any previous night partying) while preventing lines and dark circles.

My love for this bluish gel serum is that it glides on oh so smoothly onto skin. I usually dispense a pea size amount and gently tap it into the eye area with my ring finger. The closest description would be it feels like an icepack over my tired eyes after a hard day’s work. Good Stuff !. Results wise, I cannot say it made a dramatic difference but I would consider it a great preventative measure in the fight against aging for the eyes.

Verdict: A good lightweight multi tasking eye serum for eyes. It fights a multitude of sins and it won’t hurt to look more alert even though you are crashing from within. You are paying attention to me right? Dude? Dude?
