~H20+ Sea Clear Refining Facial

17 Oct

Hello Groomies, The editor’s back from reservist. Yes, I developed a “reservist dirt and dullness” due to my lack of skincare ammunition hence its time to up the ante in exfoliation and deep cleansing (to remove the dullness and dirt that accumulated over the past week ) and what better product to use other then this ~H20+ Sea Clear Refining Facial.

A cellulose exfoliating hydrogel, it promises to reveal healthy shine free skin while mattifying surface shine with shine neutralizing marine botanicals. It also contains Zinc, copper, iron, silicon and magnesium to build a glycopeptide complex which  binds moisture to the skin surface.

It may sound weird, but I do find the colour of this product very pleasing. (Which by the way is a light mint green shade). Used on a dry face, it started balling up into little beige flecks which I am assuming the brownness (opps) beigey flecks are dirt that is being lifted up from the pores. The keyword I would like to stress about this product is that it is very gentle. (Wonderful for me as you probably figured out my skin is still in a delicate state from all that sun exposure) as there was no rough abrasive feeling expected from conventional facial exfoliants. This on the other hand, felt rather rubbery and slippery at the same time. A quick rinse and towel dry later; I was greeted with soft and extremely clean skin. Not Zigzig clean but soft and supple clean. Pores look somewhat smaller and honestly skin did seem a little brighter (It looks like last week’s in camp never happened). As for its mattifying effects, lets just say it kept me oil free for a good 3 hours while I perspired over the sink washing out the dirt (and stench) from my uniforms.

Verdict: A wonderful gentle deep cleansing exfoliant, this gets all the junk and gunk out without tightness and leaves skin bouncy and plump (which still leaves me baffled as it is clearly a deep cleansing exfoliant). Recommended the normal, the oily, the acned and the dull, this lets skin have a fresh breathe of air somehow.
