Sundays are a day of rest for most people..I am not like most people sad to say the least. Sunday’s are detoxification days where I attempt to repair the sins of the past week (late nights, deadlines and loads of emotional blackmailing (kidding)).
As part of the Sunday’s skincare ritual, I tend to gravitate more to products with deep cleansing, pore scrubbing and grease unclogging. Kose Seikisho Mask White has been on my staple arsenal of products for its wonderful deep de-clogging properties.
Packaged in a simple blue tube, this medicinal black peel-off mask will remove dirt and impurities to instantly improve skin clarity and radiance. Spots and freckles don’t stand a chance too with this mask as it also contains ingredients (Coix Seed (sounds…u get what I mean), Angelica Extract (funny how it comes after the coix seed haha dirty minded me), Moutan Bark etc…go google) to prevent and suppress melanin production.
After washing my face, I slather a thick layer of this black mask on making sure I left the eye area (like an inversed panda) alone. Word of caution, apply it away from the eyebrows too as I did lose a couple of strands on my maiden voyage with this mask). After 30 minutes of drying time (this was passed with me peeking out of my bay window and scaring the passerby’s below (I am kidding)). I proceeded to peel this off with manly grunts and moans.
Perhaps there is a sick person in me, but I tend to look at the fine hairs and white heads that stay lodged on the mask. It does leave me glowing and clean but do follow up with a moisturizing mask, as this product tends to leave you feeling a little “tight”.
Verdict: Not for those with a low threshold for pain but great for Rihanna (S&M) fans. This mask will make you moan, will make you groan and tear when peeling it off. However, the glow and clean feel experienced post peel is amazing enough to entice you to do it over..and over..again.
